About HDVI's truckers general liability coverage
A truckers general liability policy covers injuries and damages that are caused as a result of business activity other than driving a truck. This can include slip and fall incidents, non-driving activities performed by drivers at customer premises such as loading or unloading, libel and slander, and other exposures.
HDVI’s truckers general liability is a form of insurance only available to trucking firms, and can only be purchased when packaged with our auto liability coverage.
Truckers general liability insurance provides the following coverage
- Bodily injury and property damage liability
- Personal injury liability
- Advertising injury liability
- Medical payments
- Products-completed operations
- Damage to premises rented to you (7 days or fewer)
Truckers general liability policy coverage details
Coverage limits
- Premises and Operations limit: up to $1,000,000 per occurrence; $2,000,000 aggregate
- Stop Gap limit: subject to occurrence and aggregate limit
Ineligible operations
A number of operations may be ineligible for HDVI’s truckers general liability coverage. Please check with your agent or with HDVI for a full list of exclusions. These include:
- Not for-hire operations
- Companies with revenue generating operations other than trucking for-hire including but not limited to:
- Companies with truck washes
- Companies with farming operations
- Companies with major warehouse exposures
- Companies who operate any type of lift
- Tanker operations
