Over 70% of goods in America are shipped by truck, and for the majority of communities, trucks are the only form of delivery. It’s safe to say that truck drivers play a critical role in making everyday life possible. These 3.3 million professional drivers not only deliver our goods on time, but they also keep our highways safe.

To celebrate and thank the dedication and commitment of these men and women, HDVI is honoring the top drivers of the trucking industry with the HDVI Safe Fleet Awards.

We have identified the top fleets with the safest drivers in two categories, Safe Speed: the fleet with the lowest frequency of high-speed miles, and Safe Brake: the fleet with the lowest frequency of harsh brakes. Read on to learn more about the winners of the 2022 HDVI Safe Driver Awards.

FreightCo has proven to take extraordinary efforts to ensure controls are in place to manage their fleet to safe speeds. Congratulations to all of FreightCo’s drivers for this well-deserved award and for placing safety as a priority.”  – Marty Maroney, Chief of Fleet Services and Telematics Officer, HDVI

HDVI Safe Fleet Awards – Safe Brake: Cargolink

Consistent harsh braking has been a proven behavior that leads to unsafe events on the road. HDVI recognizes the fleet with the lowest frequency of harsh-braking events.

“Limited harsh braking is a consistent result of safe driving practices, and are highly correlated with reducing risk and probability of a loss. Congratulations to Cargolink for this excellent safety result.”  – Marty Maroney, Chief Telematics Officer

Congratulations to these HDVI drivers! We thank you for your service and safety.
